Birthday Cake Waffles
Made with healthier ingredients including almond flour, extra virgin olive oil, and naturally sweeted maple syrup, these waffles are the perfect way to celebrate you!
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (any milk will work)
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1/ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cup blanched almond flour
- 1 tbsp rainbow sprinkles
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
1. In large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, oil, pure maple syrup, sprinkles and vanilla extract together until well combined.
2. Next, add in almond flour, baking soda and a pinch of salt; stir with spoon until well combined.
3. Lightly coat a large nonstick skillet with cooking spray, and place over medium heat. Once the skillet is hot, drop about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet. Allow to cook until bubbles appear on top and the edges are well cooked.
4. Flip cakes and cook until golden brown on underside, 2 minutes.Wipe skillet clean and repeat with more cooking spray and remaining batter.
Recipe Notes
- Topping: Top with extra sprinkles and whipped cream!
